What do we do?
InkLab was founded in as part of Logicearth Learning Services. We are a team of medical writers with diverse scientific backgrounds, who provide clients with a range of services to deliver specialist medical communications. Our medical writing services cover a range of areas including scientific and medical publications, marketing and training solutions for educational and professional development. We work synergistically with our inhouse structural design team, who add flare to enhance our medical communications by providing amazing visuals such as unique graphics, animations and videos.
Meet the team
Philip Lucas

Philip is a founding member of the team having joined the company in 2016. He has experience working with clinical trial protocols and scientific data across many therapeutic areas including neurology, nephrology, dermatology and oncology. He has provided medical communications for a range of clients across global pharmaceutical, biotech and clinical research organisations.
Philip is a University of Edinburgh alum where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Master of Public Health. Outside of medical writing, he is a huge rugby fan and captained Barbados 7s at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Anna Gillespie

Anna joined the team in 2017 after completion of her PhD in Health and Nutrition at Queen’s University Belfast, where she investigated how proteins in the gut influence diseases such as diabetes and obesity. At InkLab, she has extensive experience working on clinical trial protocols for leading pharmaceutical companies, helping to streamline complex trial information so that it is accessible and digestible for healthcare practitioners, researchers and patients.
Outside of her work Anna is an avid photographer and song writer. She loves to exercise and spends spare time going to the gym.
Fraser Collins

Fraser joined InkLab in 2020 and has produced medical communications for a wide range of clients including leading pharmaceutical companies. He has written content for a variety of eLearning modules for professional and educational development.
Fraser was previously involved in scientific research having been a Research Associate and PhD student at the University of Manchester. During this time his area of research focused on the structural biology of enzymes.
As a keen scientist, Fraser offers tutoring to science students in his spare time.
Alexander Currie

Our most recent addition to the team is Alexander who joined the team in 2022 after completing his PhD in Medical Mycology. His research focused on the impact fungal infections in lung can have on patients with cystic fibrosis. Prior to his PhD, he studied immunology, pharmacology and toxicology and is keenly interested in drug development.
When Alexander isn’t reading about science, he enjoys true crime and fantasy novels. He is also interested in politics and enjoys political debates.

Our whole team have the training and background to translate the complexities of science to professional and lay audiences. Furthermore, our experienced co-founders and directors provide trusted counsel and strategic insight into all projects, from concept to completion.

‘Ink’ represents our creative digital design gurus, who work closely with our prize-winning medical and instructional designers to translate statistics and words into compelling messages. The ‘Lab’ houses our highly qualified scientists and medical writers, with experience from lab research to brand promotion and every step in between. Together, InkLab provides you with solutions and service levels that deliver beyond expectation.
